It’s homecoming, and the Jags are jumpin’! This year’s theme is Timeless Traditions – like the annual Junk the Jungle (see below if you’re new here). Get into the spirit with a weeklong lineup of events that include a Friday evening bonfire, pep rally, fireworks and concert. On Saturday, don’t miss the pre-game tailgating before the Jaguars take on Louisiana Monroe in Hancock Whitney Stadium. Everyone is family at South, and we’re ready to celebrate. Let’s go!

Homecoming Office Decorating Contest

  • Please use this year's theme in your decorating ideas; Timeless Traditions.
  • Decorations need to be non-flammable and in compliance with fire code. Please do not block exits, cover sprinklers, or block walkways. Please contact Safety & Environmental Compliance with any questions about this topic. 
  • All decorations need to be in place and set by Friday, Oct. 18th at 5 p.m. 
  • The judging committee will make their way around campus on Tuesday, Oct. 22. The committee will be made up of students, faculty and staff. Judging will be based on:
    • Creativity 
    • Use of Homecoming Theme
    • Jag Spirit 
    • Design
  • The winners will be announced at the Bonfire & Pep Rally on Friday night. 
  • Please make sure that your supervisor/department head is aware of your participation. 
  • HAVE FUN!!!!

Lunch Laughs, feat. Jimmy McCartney

Are you ready for a good time? Jaguar Productions invites all USA students, faculty, and staff to Lunch Laughs, featuring Jimmy McCartney. Bring your lunch and be prepared for an hour full of laughs at this free, live stand-up comedy show happening in the Student Center Terrace.

Major Connections will feature interactive booths where you can learn more about majors, minors, or concentrations through games, exhibits, giveaways, and other engaging activities.Food will be served to the first 200 students!

Come out to the Azalea/Camellia parking lot to hear great music, decorate your cars for Homecoming, and play fun yard games! Decorating supplies, candy, and drinks provided by Housing, but only while supplies last! We hope to see you there!


Junk the Jungle

6-7 pm
USA Traffic Circle

Get ready to roll! Join the Student Government Association for this annual Homecoming tradition as we TP the traffic circle. Toilet paper provided. The traffic circle will be closed during the event so plan accordingly.

Niko Moon with Blanco Brown

Doors will open at 7:30 p.m.

Join us for a long-standing tradition at South, our annual Homecoming Concert. This year’s concert will feature Niko Moon with Blanco Brown opening. Niko Moon grew up an hour outside of Atlanta and has hit songs like GOOD TIME, PARADISE TO ME, NO SAD SONGS, COASTIN’, and THESE ARE THE DAYS. Blanco Brown is a Grammy nominee from Atlanta with the platinum-certified single “The Git Up”. Put your dancing shoes on and get ready for an amazing experience. Tickets are free for USA students, $10 for USA faculty and staff, and $20 for the general public. All tickets are general admission.
